I am new to the MAC world, and I've just purchased a SR MBP (I wanted to wait until the release of Leopard but I just couldn't resist it).

I got a matte Samsung screen. All the recent updates from Apple were done and the screen looked nice. Then I did the default calibration and the screen looked even better. Then I downloaded SuperCal and did another calibration and it looked GOOD.

However, I found my switching among profiles when I was doing different tasks. For example, when I edit my photos, I use the profile from SuperCal. When I browse the internet, the profile from the default calibration seems better.

Do you guys do the same thing? Do you use different profiles for different tasks?

I just adjust the brightness.

For viewing internet etc I turn the brightness down to ease my eyes, and if I'm viewing photos or watching a film I turn it up full and sit back and relax.

I'd stick to one calibration rather than skimping between a few.
