Do you use your Apple Watch for fitness?

Yes, everyday. I workout twice a day. It makes me happy and keeps me motivated to close all 3 rings. Also the heart rate is important to keep track of. Ultra 2. Can' wait for Ultra 3 in September

I'm not a gymrat but I do use it to keep tabs on my walks and bike rides, my heart stats, and as a way to be reminded to take medications. I'd say that's the most important use I have for mine aside from using Apple Pay which I rarely use on my phone anymore because it's just easy when it's right there.

That’s ALL I bought it for, the Nike Run Club app

Though I was pleasantly surprised when Apple made sleep tracking more accurate, so that’s my second most important use

Fitness tracking, cooking timers, and podcast playback are pretty much all my watch is for these days.

I used to, but realized that steps are not actually counted, only hand movements. My wife gets 3000 steps at Costco and I get none when pushing the cart. However sitting on a stool and assembling a sofa and chair, gets me 6000 steps… go figure

There have been times that I don't. Times when I'm not doing anything to improve my fitness.

I certainly use it as a "tracking tool" though, when I'm working out etc.

The only thing I use my AW for is to track my workouts (or more accurately, my heart rate during the workouts). Otherwise I'm wearing one of my mechanical watches.

Switched to the Apple Watch for the fitness features and so I could leave my phone at home when I go running. It’s been a great tool for getting fitter.

That's one of my favourite features. AirPods and Watch, and away we go.

That’s exactly what I did - I didn’t really exercise at all previously, and that made traveling and life in general less enjoyable. Now well over a year later I have more energy, I’ve lost weight, and I’m just fitter in general. Well worth the price of the Watch.

Yours is just faulty or not positioned on your wrist correctly. They specifically designed and tested them to work in this scenario (pushing a shopping cart).
