EDIT: It seems I have been misdiagnosing the issue this entire time, as although the bug can be observed in Stage Manager, it does in fact occur in regular multitasking as well. In the latter case, the dock flashing can obviously not be seen while using an app, since the dock is hidden. However, multitasking by dragging an app from the dock does occasionally crash the dock as well.
Notice in the attached video how when first dragging Reeder from the Dock the dock crashes and vanishes. On the second attempt the crash does not occur and the Dock remains visible during the entire interaction. I’m yet to determine 100% what causes the crash to occur, but I can trigger it fairly reliably by just switching between apps for a while (possibly making the recent apps in the Dock change).
OLD POST:
This is a bug I’ve been experiencing all the way from when stage manager has been introduced and yet I haven’t been able to get anyone else to confirm they experience it as well. From time to time, the dock will briefly blink out of existence before reappearing (without any animation). Dragging an app from the recent apps into stage manager occasionally causes this as well. Has anyone experienced this themselves?
