How do I add a 'Folder' to the dock? Lets say I want a shortcut to my applications folder that I can launch from the dock.
I tried dragging the Applications folder from the finder window to the dock but all that happened was it went *poof* and now I don't have applications in the sidebar of my finder.

eVolcre said:Come to think of it, in Tiger, adding a Application folder to the dock is superflous. One click on the finder button brings up a window that has APPLICATIONS AND Home folder right there. No point in adding a dedicated APPLICATION link

it is my first ever mac problem. and it is really annoying.
