Yeah I did some odd maneuver on my dock, and now my mail app is on top of my finder app.

Just did a restart, that took care of it.

I noticed also that when I did a command-tab to switch between apps, the finder wasn't there. Odd.
 
For future reference, you can restart the Dock without restarting your Mac by opening Terminal and typing "killall Dock" or using Activity Monitor to quit the Dock (it automatically reloads after you quit it).
 
With some of these problems I don't understand why restarting isn't most people's first ideas, as if restarting is some sort of ancient lost art.
 
I would have done one when I had the time. I just felt like I should share this as it was a bit bizarre.

That was my thoughts exactly. I think it takes more time to type a post, and then wait for an answer lol
