Dock Indicator Lights are Black Squares?

Hello, the dock indicator lights are black squares instead of dots in light mode. All the other pictures I see of the dock indicator lights are dots.

Also, in light mode they show up as black squares. Switching to dark mode, they are normal white dots. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This is part of the design of the os they look like they could be squares but looking in they are dots.

There is definitely a difference in design. Same wallpaper, but indicator lights are different shapes. Only thing I could think of is maybe different resolutions display the indicator lights differently. I am running on a 1080p resolution that displays squares in light mode.

Would be interested to see if anyone else is showing squares or dots, and what resolution is your monitor?

It’s likely your display you are using. What’s your concern is it causing you any issues?

To take a screenshot of just the dock select command+shift+4 and then press the space bar and then click on the dock.

Ok I was just doing a screen-share on an iMac 5K and I saw Dots! its a screen resolution thing, not a bug in anyway. I hope this solves the question.

@Coola yes for me it is the same in the final version Monterey 12.0.1. If you look very closely, there are round dots as indicators and square dots.

I have Monterey 12.0.1 on an iMac mid 2020 (20.1) with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

I am looking for a solution to make these indicators bigger and the color I want to see them in yellow.

If you see my thread where it is also about changing this dock indicator, you can see that it is no longer possible to change the color and size of this indicator.

And the MacUtil tool is not available anymore and cDock, there has not been a new version for Monterey since November 2020. Only Big Sur 11.6.1 still works with the cDock.

I'm curious if Someone will find a solution to change this dock indicator in size and / or color.
