I have my MBP (13-inch, 2017) below my main monitor - I've heard it called the 'up and under' configuration.

Before updating to Big Sur the Dock would sit on the main screen (the external monitor) all nicely, but now it takes it upon itself to move to the MBP screen way way way too often. I know this can happen by mistake if you click/mouse over the worng bit of your other scren, but it's happening so so often often when I'm just hovering over an app icon in the Dock.

I tried the Hidden Bar app, but that made my Mac look like a PC. I even tried putting the Dock on side of my external monitor, but it just didn't work for me.

Any tips on how I better 'anchor' it to the external monitor?

Thanks

This isn't new to Big Sur (at least for me), but I too would like to know the answer to this. If there was a way to pin the dock to whichever monitor you drag the menu bar to, that would be great.

That's pinned the Dock to my MBP screen, whereas I want it on my external screen

Oh, it used to happen with other OS's, but it's got over sensitive - and moves all the time - since the upgrade
