Running 10.11.6 on a new 15 Macbook Pro (mid 2015 model). When shutting down the computer / restarting, the dock doesn't minimize fully, instead it's only minimized half way, just like in this video:

The computer does shut down / restart just fine, but I'm wondering why the dock is getting stuck? It seems like the OS is shutting down everything before the dock has a chance to quit? I have a another 2015 Macbook pro (mid 2015) running the same OS but this issue is not present. Before doing a reinstall I wanted to check to see if anyone else has run into this problem?

Not I. Seems that your "." key is producing a "?" as well.
Nah, that was me hitting the ? key.

Going back to the main issue, I found the following thread about this exact issue on Apple's support forum, but it's unclear if/how the issue was resolved: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6611507?tstart=0
Also, it appears that the issue is not El Capitan specific as both the person in the thread and the guy in the video experienced the issue while running Yosemite.
