Dock problem?

Just purchased a couple of items from the app store and notice that the newly purchased apps do not jump to the dock (while downloading) like in Snow Leopard. Is this a new change in ML or is my dock corrupted?

They didn't jump to the dock in Lion either. They download into the Launcher, which bounces when the dl is finished. You have to open the app and when it shows up on the dock, right click it to keep it on your dock even when closed.

Thanks. I never had Lion so didn't know about the change. It's just that I removed launcher from the dock so there is nothing to indicate that the download/install is complete.
