Dock question

I doubt its possible but I thought it'd be worth asking. There's no way to hook the iPad Dock to the Wall AC adapter and the USB sync cord at the time time correct? The reason I ask is I want to use the Dock to be able to just set my iPad in and charge and transfer stuff. I know it charges through USB too but the AC adapter charges it faster.

Ahh crap I thought I figured it out, I was thinking I could plug a USB hub into the dock then one usb to iPad cable to my Macbook Pro and take another to the AC adapter but I forgot the back of the dock isn't just regular USB, its the special iPad connector.
