Docking/Charging stations compatibility question for new iPhone 4G/HD

New member, short-time lurker, and searched for 3 pages of results with nothing, so sorry if this has been answered before!

What do the enlightened people here feel the odds are on a device such as the cute iPig working with the new iPhones?

I have iPods that will work no matter what, but it would be nice for it to charge the iPhone, even if I need to use an adaptor.

Is there a good chance things that work with the 3G/3GS will continue to work, or should I not be expecting any forward compatibility with hardware (don't buy anything now)?

I wouldn't worry at the moment. A new phone isn't even announced only h we rumored to be. Although we know it's coming, at this point no one knows. Just chill, wait for it to be close then worry about accessories working.
