Hi all
I'm looking for a docking station that should run some Sata HDD 3,5 that I already have with data on them.
Those HDD are actually formatted as exFAT.
The problem is the two docking stations I have tried can read HDD only formatted by the same device.
I mean, device 1 only reads HDD formatted by 1 and can't read those formatted by device 2 and vice-versa.
HDDs are both actually formatted as exFat but that doesn't make them work cross-device.
So I'm looking for a docking station, possibly with two slots, that could be able to read previously formatted HDDs.
I have a MBP Early 2011 running Macos 10.13
Any suggestion?

What version of Mac OS is your MBP 2011 installed? Mac OS is finicky about ExFAT allocation sizes. The issue with your ExFAT formatted HDD's and MBP 2011 is probably because the drives were formatted using Win or Linux. A dock isn't going to address ExFAT allocation size.

Hi
thanks a lot for your reply.
My MBP runs on MacOS 10.13.6 and I formatted those HDDs with this machine, not Win nor Linux.

You contradict yourself. Get specific about “device 1” and “device 2” formatting procedure, including computer OS and version, and how “SATA HDD 3,5” get currently attached, e.g. USB enclosure, direct SATA, etc., and then perhaps helpful suggestions will follow.

I have a Yottamaster and a Sabrent docking stations which I described as 1 and 2 for the sake of simplicity...
The 3,5 Sata HDDS were all formatted as Exfat attached through USB to my MBP Early 2011 MacOS 10.13.6

You've specified brand, but what model of docking stations and specs. Docking stations don't "read" the drives, computer "read" the drives, i.e. the file system (ExFAT). So if you are attaching docking station to MBP 2011, it is attached via USB 2.0, FireWire, or Thunderbolt .. which is it? Also, are the 3,5 Sata HDDs installed into the docking stations or attached to the docking stations via USB, etc.
Ex.
3,5 SATA HDD (installed in) docking station > USB > MBP ??
or
3.5 SATA HDD (enclosure) > USB > docking station > USB > MBP ??
etc
etc
