I've just downloaded the first of the Doctor Who adventure games.
One issue I ran into was that the resolution of my screen (Apple 30" ACD) was not supported. The maximum resolution listed is that of the 27" iMac, 2560x1440. While the game seems to render at 2560x1600, the aspect ratio is wrong and all the characters are stretched out vertically.
I've worked out how to set a custom resolution so figured I'd share for anyone else.
First load the game up, create an account and then go to the graphics settings section. Set the resolution to any of those listed then set the graphics quality to the maximum if you've got a half decent graphics card. Then quit out of the game.
The settings file is located in ~/Library/Preferences/Doctor Who. Or simply go to your home folder, double click "Library", double click "Preferences" and then double click "Doctor Who".
You'll want to open the settings.xml file in an editor. I used TextEdit. Then change the number in <m_uiWidth>xxxx</m_uiWidth> to 2560 and <m_uiHeight>xxxx</m_uiHeight> to 1600 (or if you're using this guide for any other custom resolution, you can probably put those in here too). Save and close the file.
Start up the game and the aspect resolution should be fixed. Note that if you go into the graphics settings section and change anything then you'll have to reconfigure the settings.xml file manually. In the graphics section it will also say the resolution is something different, i.e. 2560x1440 although the game *is* running at 2560x1600 with a 16:10 aspect ratio.
