With the latest update to MacOS V12.3.1 on my MacBook Pro M1, favorites bar on the let side suddenly changed. What's really bad is that my Documents folder suddenly moved to iCloud. What is worse is that I can't move it back to the local drive. So applications are now corrupt.

I knew when I bought this MacBook that there would be bugs and corruption with the new M1 chips, but this is completely unacceptable. How do I fix this?

Dan.

huh?

first, this has nothing to do with bugs, or 'corruption with the new M1 chips". at some point, you chose to use documents and desktop in the cloud. even if you're 100 percent sure you didn't... there are ways to move your files back to your mac (someone else here can describe that, or you can google it).

and why are 'applications now corrupt'?

EDIT: how to

Did you activate iCloud? That will automatically move your files over it.

You are making rash assumptions. I have files on iCloud, but the Documents folder was NOT on iCloud. The only change I made was to allow the 12.3.1 to be installed. THE ONLY CHANGE!

I fixed this, but am still testing to see what other changes were made.
