Documents on iOS

Hi,
Is there something like a "Documents" folder on iOS ? A Folder that all apps have access to and where I can store (programaticaly) user docs such as attachments ? Or do each app as its own document folder where it can write data ?

EDIT: I hoped that with the "iCloud Document & Data" Apple would give us some kind of Dropbox functionality but it is not the case. The iCloud Documents seem to be limited to iWork documents, aren't they ?

I'm curious to know myself about this. It's something that I have also thought would've have been useful. The more I try to get work done on my iPhone the more I get limitations such as this. For example, when I create a document I don't believe it can be accessed by other apps on my iPhone. It can only be access by the app that created it.

In other words, there is no general "documents" folder where we can dump files to be used by other apps like we can on our computers. I would be pleasantly surprised if I was wrong.

Basically, an app only has access to its own documents, and not to documents other apps use. There are situations where an app has access to documents of other apps, but those are pretty rare, and there is definitely no way of creating a dropbox clone.

If you read enough of these threads, you will realize having a folder system is much desired - but not possible at this point. Each app keeps it's own documents.
