Does 3.1 fix heat and battery issues?

I know the update was just posted but I was hoping people would post with their findings. It would be very helpful for us cautious types who are waiting for these improvements but not sure if they should update.

If you have better battery life, no change, or worse please post. And any heat differences as well.
