Hey guys :)
This is my first post here!
So basically, I recently got a 6S plus and a blue Apple silicone case which I like. I was just wondering if the phone actually needs a case? I'm very careful with my devices and I have the silver one so scratching shouldn't be much of an issue. Just wanted to know everyone's thoughts!

I don't use cases. I hate them as they destroy the natural beauty of the phone. Others see it differently. With the 6 however came a brand new era of "it's too slippery" so now there is that cry around here.

My wife has a Mophie iGlaze Lux though, which is essentially an aluminum frame around her phone with a clear back.

I still hate cases.

A case isn't needed, some people just use one because of their own personal reasons. It's all basically just based on whatever works for you.

I can't really safely use my 6 without a case on it. It's too slippery. I'm not a big case guy. I liked my GS3 without a case. I liked my Note 4 without a case. I like my wife's 5C without a case. I wish I could use the 6 caseless, but the shape and materials make it hard to hang on to without using two hands.

I think all phones need some sort of protection.

I want to see and feel the phone design. So no case or screen protector for me. :)

Of course it does !! Well, if we're thinking about its beautiful, we should think about scratch resistance. And if you are really worried about the minor accidents that can happen with your phone, then you really should get a case for it.. !! come on, we all hear the people asking tons of questions on web about the cracked screen..! It's just a matter of looks, you no need to keep the case every time, just keep it when it has to be. Many people are buying the "beautiful-look" cases by using Flipkart Coupons for Mobiles, so can you!! However, the phone looks good with and without case :) Or the developers wouldn't just develop the cases.

Yeah it pays to get one its rather costly if you drop and crack LCDs especially on new model phones like yours.

I really hate (solid) cases, too. There's nothing worse than those ugly brown leather cases that's supposed to be both a case and a wallet. Argh! Anyway, I've had low-key bumpers for my 4S as well as my 5S as a consequence of me being clumsy. I would be too afraid of accidently dropping my cellphone to not invest in a case/cover/bumper. Especially now that I have a 6S that's a bit more difficult to handle safely (it's a bit slippery). Right now, I'm waiting for my K11 bumper to arrive. That's one subtle one and easy on the eye too.

Remember kids, wear protection to prevent accidents. But if you're careful enough; honestly, then go for it without the case.

I have used cases since cracking my first iPhone 5 (fell out my pocket while climbing, my fault) through until this 6S Plus which I have a dBrand skin for so have been avoiding scratches and trust I won't drop. I did go through the "oh it's too slippery" with the 6 Plus last year but in my opinion you get used to it after a little while and it's not an issue.

I don't like using any cases. It does take away the feel of the iPhone as intended. Going naked it dangerous though. Even with my 5s being as careful as possible for two years, I've nicked it simply by removing from my front pocket. It brushed up on my belt buckle and lo and behold a nick appeared on the chamfered edge and side. I then bumped it against my desk edge. Another scratch/nick on it. This time I'm ordering the K11 and using a temporary bumper until that arrives.

It all depends on how much you care about your iPhone and how important it is for your life.
I try to take good care of everything I paid for. Also, my iPhone is very important for my work. If I drop mine and break something, it would mean loss of business for me.

I didn't used to use cases. Then I dropped my iPhone 4 out of pocket, and smashed the screen. Later, my iPhone 5 got dragged off a desk by the X Mini speaker that was bouncing around on full volume, and cracked the screen. The new screen got cracked when I dropped it again. I didn't even consider going caseless with my 6S - I almost dropped it twice when I was inserting the SIM! The Apple leather case is rather good - it allows me to grip with much less force, so no chance of a wet soap style flip, it sits flat on a desk without wobbling on the camera lens, and I like the understated look.
