Does a LONG GPU fit into a Mac Pro early 2009?

Hey guys,


has anybody of you tried or is using very long GPU such as the Sapphire Tri-X R290x ?



its around 30-32 cm in length.



Would that fit into the case of a Early Mac pro 2009 or not?

Just measured 30cm on my case don't look like there is hope in hell it will fit it will be well into the fan in front area.

Did you push the button on the fan (that it's hitting) to slide it forward? It's actually the locking mechanism for full-length cards.

312mm is the standard size for full-length cards. The Mac Pro will handle this fine. As noted above, the slot length in the Mac Pro is adjustable so you may need to slide the PCIe bay fan.
