I have a new MacMini with a 256GB SSD. I recently set up a new account for my wife to make syncing with her iPhone for specific for her, but then I immediately regretted it.

She rarely syncs, we have always shared contact/calendar, for a second I thought giving her an account may be beneficial. On second thought I figure maybe it's better to keep everything together so she can check my calendar, we'll have all our photos in one place, the only hassle may be contact but even then it hasn't been a problem.

Since my SSD isn't huge I regret the possibility that I created needless files throughout my system. If I were to delete her account will it get rid of everything I just created?

I hate the idea of bloating a system needlessly and constantly obsess about keeping a clean install. Should I worry?

(I don't need a lesson on data management, I have over 10TB of storage elsewhere for media. I just want to keep my SSD clean--very easily)

What is God's name are you kvetching about? The answer to the question in the title of your post is "No." Your files are contained within your Home directory. Your wife's files are contained within her Home directory. All of the new files associated with a new account are contained within the Home directory of that new account.

As for Clean Install, that is a procedure that is intended to fix extremely rare and vexing problems. It is not a routine maintenance procedure. As for sharing files, OS X makes it easy to share data including calendars among accounts even if they are hosted by different computers. It is bad practice for multiple users to share accounts. There is simply no good reason for you and you wife to engage in this bad practice.

In general, no. No extra files are created outside of the Home folder. Some Applications WILL create extra files in the Users/Shared folder, but they are just that... Shared, and needed for all accounts.

So no additional files are created in the main system or library folders? I'm so jaded from an old experience with Windows where files are left everywhere.

No, users are completely self contained in the /Users/{username} folder. So much so that you can simple move that folder to a new Mac, and the account will be exactly as it was on the old one.
