Why not just get it from the other thread instead of starting a new thread.

The link to the repo would still be there.

says invalid thread dont know why

Have no idea what invalid thread is.... (Operator error ?)

It's right in this post >>>>> https://forums.macrumors.com/posts/8613855/

I had absolutely no problem opening the thread and scrolling down the posts to post #32

EDIT: By the way this is just a collection of .deb files collected by someone, it is not any kind of a Cydia repo or even close to all the apps/extensions on Cydia (but it is a big list, none the less)

YAY! :)

It's actually the BigBoss repo. ;)

It's also quite simple to find direct links to .deb packages and repo sites with a bit of googling and investigating.
I always get the .deb packages for the apps I install in Cydia, so when I upgrade my iPhone, it's just a question of dropping all the .deb files in Cydia's AutoInstall folder and reboot. No need to mess with backup applications (unless you need to backup your settings for some apps I suppose).

Really, OK, thanks for squaring me away. That is a good tidbit to know. Just a question, if RedLaser is in the list, how come it doesn't show up on his repo in Cydia ?

You are right, there is nothing more frustrating than during a re-JB, some of the repo's are down. Big Boss repo is very reliable.

I have Goggled my head off for iSpazio (since it is down alot) but never had any luck.

The file is still stored on the server; the app has simply been removed from the package distribution list that Cydia downloads.

OK...

I was hoping the was a copy of WB settings on that list as I liked having WB in my settings menu. No luck.

I am using Themes which seems to be close to WB settings.

I'm bummed about that too. I actually didn't even realize it wasn't in cydia anymore until I had to restore and re-jailbreak last week and noticed I couldn't find it :(

WB Settings was never from the BigBoss repo.
My google skills are better than yours.
:p:D

I'll concede but that post is dated 9/18/09 so it may have been put up after I searched for it, since the #2 and #3 links which came up were different color reminding me I had already hit on those.

REGARDLESS, I thank you !!

Cydia does not keep the deb packages on your iPhone after it has installed them. They are downloaded, installed and then removed. Stop looking for them.

The best you can do, as far as I know, to get the deb packages for the apps you install is to follow the guide I mentioned before. Follow the guide and you will find the deb package, unless of course, it's been removed from the repo. Or try googling for it and with a bit of luck you'll find it.

You know, not everything gets done with the snap of the fingers. You need to do some of the work yourself. ;)

As for Cydia's AutoInstall folder, there's nothing more I can add to what I've already told you (and the link someone else gave you) in your other thread. If it's not working, then there's obviously something wrong on your end.

Best of luck!
