Just tried the braided Solo Loop and I could tell it was making my wrist itchy in 5 minutes. Anyone else experience something similar?

No, not sure if it’s the braided solo loop or the Ti body (since this is my first time with Ti), or a mix of both but this is the most comfortable combo I ever wore imo.

I tried on a braided solo loop in the store yesterday. I only had it on for a minute but it felt ultra comfortable. More than the sport loop I've had for a year. And more that the solo loop.

I have been wearing mine since I got it on Friday. No problems for me. I think it is my most comfortable band. I like it better than sport loops. I have every style band except for the new solo loops.

I love the look of this band but it does look itchy/abrasive. If it weren’t so expensive I’d give it a try, but it’s a fifth a cost of my new watch. Insane for something that looks like one of my hair scrunchies, albeit a high quality scrunchie. I’ll wait and see how it fares once more people try it and give their experiences.

I haven‘t been able to get the Braided Loop yet, but after several hours with the Solo Loop I couldn’t stand it any longer. The measurement worked great and I got a good fit, but the regular Solo Loop isn’t very stretchy. I like my watchbands loose and I adjust them throughout the day. Not being able to adjust the Solo Loop really bothers me. It felt contstrictive and claustrophobic on my arm. I am returning it to Apple. I wondered if the Braided Loop might be better since it is more stretchy and breathable, but again the lack of being adjustable would probably bother me again.

I have the non braided version and I find it slightly itchy. Well, not so much itchy, but it somehow makes my skin feel a bit irritated/unhappy. It's not an allergy but it's really not comfortable. Not sure if it is the material or something else...

So much as I like the idea of the solo loop, I'm going to return it. Back to the sports bands for me...

I found it uncomfortable after a few hours. Since it’s elastic and for it to work, it is slightly constricting. Left ”marks” on the skin. My favorite band for references are sport loops.

That is so totally wrong. It does not have to be tight. Apple calls it the relaxed fit size. Try it.

If its too relaxed (ie next size up 10), it slides up and down which is more annoying to me. even apple recommends a slightly tighter fit.

when i put it on at first, its actually very comfortable. just after a few hours it gets uncomfortable. probably a side effect of slight constriction and a small amount of sweat. keep in mind everyone has different experiences.

I'm pretty sure most folks use it without issue, but i am sure there are a minority who after using it didn't enjoy the experience. if you want to discount someone else's experience by telling them they are totally using it wrong, then there is really nothing else for me to say.

My 8 is relaxed and does not slide up and down. Is your comment based on using the relaxed size or presumption.

its called going to the physical apple store and trying 8, 9, 10.

Not the same. If you measured using the sizing tool and went with the loser fit (1 up) I disagreed with you that it would be so loose that it would slide up and down, or move around.

My point is that there is too much emphasis on tight. I see dozens of pictures with a tight fit. That cannot be comfortable or make the watch wearable for long periods. I dont care what they might say, in the end they will get a looser fit or stop using the band.

I wouldn't call it itchy, but it was not comfortable for the minute or 2 I had it on in the store.

Its ok to disagree. I just found it more annoying you said "That is so totally wrong." But at this point this argument is going no where and not helpful to the original poster. So I will summarize my points as this:

1. Braided solo loop is beautiful and if you want to buy it, go for it.
2. If you are in the minority that finds it uncomfortable, don't feel bad. Others have found out they don't like it. Feel free to return it within apple's 14 day return period.
3. Feel free to select a snug fit or a looser fit based on your preference. I believe each size is about 6mm of difference.
4. Don't worry about people telling you are doing it so totally wrong.

I went to buy an apple watch with the braided loop strap as an extra in the apples tore the day before yesterday. It was ultra comfy in the store. I measured a 6 at home and a 6 in the store but the assistant said they weer coming up big and sure enough there was a gap.So I bought the 5. As I loved that strap I wore it first. Within an hour I was itching under the watch - took it off and i had a indentation in a circle and a rash. Washed wrist, did not put that strap back on sprayed wrist with a defender spray and using the the sports loop now - the one you thread through. Loosely! No more problems. i suspect that this design will either be too loose in one size and too tight in the next on some people. I am sad it didn't suit me it is very smart. It is not harsh - it feels quite soft. It's going back on Sunday.
