My iPhone XS seems to really struggle with notifications after the iOS 15 update. On 15.0.2 atm.

  • Notifications for any app showing up with anything from 5 min to several hours delay.
  • Gmail app email notifications not working at all.
  • Gmail badges not clearing themselves unless you open the app again.
  • Sounds may or may not play for notifications.
  • Sounds for notifications can be wrong. Just before writing this I was getting "New email" notification sounds for WhatsApp messages.
Anyone else encountering these issues? I've tried restarting the phone and turning notifications on/off, changing sounds and whatnot.

Notifications are showing up on my iPhone XS running iOS 15. Did you update OTA or through iTunes?
I updated OTA.

It seems that the "volume button adjust ringer/notification volume" also does not function correctly. If I turn media volume down then notification sounds don't work. Tried toggling the setting but nope, still broken.

Very annoying.

Maybe try running a backup and then restoring to it through iTunes.

My guess is that you turned on Focus mode on accident without configuring it.
