All iPads Does anyone else just use a standard keyboard and mouse setup ?

I bought a magic mouse for specific use with an iPad Pro 12.9 gen 3(face unlock)
I don't type much and sound is via airplay to a homepod pair or airport express connect 2-way audio.
The mouse works well on the whole but is buggy with the well known vid site . It does not do swipe guestures that well on safari, especially swiping minimised safari off the screen. I am tending to prefer to use the iPad with the mouse.
On an iPP 12.9 gen 2 it works very poorly.
I am not in the market for a keyboard.
My aging macbook is pretty much a back up repository now, thanks to the mouse.

Yes. With the 2018 12.9 Pro, I use a stand, a Logitech K380 keyboard and a Logitech MX Master 3 mouse. I alternate using the mouse and a Magic Trackpad 2. The mouse and keyboard readily switch between the iPad and a docked laptop it sits side by side with. For travel use, I have a lighter-weight stand, several lightweight keyboards to choose from, a Logitech MX Anywhere 2S mouse (smaller form factor than the Master 3), and the Magic Trackpad 2.

I did for quite awhile. I had been saving up for the new 2020 iPP, but wasn't impressed, so I used some of the money for MK. Each has their strengths. I have to admit though, I've enjoyed an integrated ( when I use it ) trackpad. So I won't be carting a mouse or the trackpad anymore out of the house if I ever go out for an extended period anytime soon.
At home you aren't so worried about how minimalistic your setup is. When about or traveling it's nice knowing there's less to keep track of or misplace.

I do that. At my desk I have a Logi Base for my 10.5 iPad Pro, dock my iPad in that, and use a magic keyboard 2, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 alongside it. (In reality I only really use the trackpad - I already had the mouse around from an old computer though, so it’s there if I feel like switching it up). It’s the perfect desktop setup for me.
I recently got a Logitech combo touch for my iPad when that came out, and the keyboard/trackpad is awesome for travel or using on the couch. I don’t use the bulky back cover that came with it, though.

I did for a couple weeks using a homemade laptop desk (removed the legs off a cheap wooden folding table) with a rechargeable Magic Mouse and keyboard. It worked pretty well and was easy to carry from room-to-room to use in my comfy chair and in bed. But then it started feeling too makeshift and I longed for a simpler all-in-one solution, and could hear the MK whispering, "buy me! buy me!" Also I sold my Mac Mini with those two peripherals.
That looks good for just working from home, although the iPad interface is obviously set up for trackpad, rather than mouse with gestures that only work on trackpad
As much as I love the look of the Magic Keyboard case for the iPad, it’s just so much money and didn’t want to either turn my iPad into a ‘laptop’ full time, or just have the keyboard case laying around not being used (due to the cost).

. I like the idea of the MK but it is way too expensive. I also want to use the iPad as a tablet and do not want to use it without a case. So I bought as well the Logitech K380 keyboard. I do use Logitech mouse but it is not M350 but G603 because I use it also for my company laptop. I switch between the laptop and the iPad. I do have the Smart Folio Keyboard to use when I am outside but at home I do use the Logitech. The Smart folio texture is something I do not enjoy and it leads to some issues with my hands (namely numbness and lack of sensitivity) so I try to use it only when it is really necessary.

I have one but never use it - I could never get used to the wide space between keyboard halves at the fold seam. After spending a bundle on the MS product, I ended up getting this for $29 - works great:

I thought the same. Maybe because its an old product from MS and I think its discontinued. I had a hard time tracking one down when I was looking for foldable keyboard. Its good for occasional use but if you want to use it for everyday use, i reckon it won't be comfortable because of the flat keys. Getting used to the fold wasn't much of a problem though, you don't even notice it once you are used to it
