I recently upgraded from ATV 160GB to ATV2. I used to enjoy searching for and purchasing music in iTunes right from my downstairs living room couch. Now on ATV2 you can't do that. Just curious if anyone else misses that feature or is it something that wasn't really that important to most ATV users?

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148a Safari/6533.18.5)

Yes it was a convenience factor. It was also nice for movies just use the remote and purchase. Maybe on the next revision they will " upgrade" us back to this feature.

Not really. We always use our iPhones and iPads for browsing on the couch and we use them for browsing, previewing, and purchasing music as well. I can't imagine that being any easier and more enjoyable trying to do it on a TV screen.

Now that we can play that purchased music on the Apple TV without syncing to a computer by using Airplay, I don't see any loss of convenience. If you don't have an iOS device maybe so.

Another thing is if you still prefer to buy rather than rent tv shows and movies, you can do that now too on your iOS device and Airplay the video to your Apple TV without syncing to your computer first. You probably can't play them while they're still downloading like I believe the old Apple TV allowed you to do though.

That was a nice feature. I think the ability to purchase iTunes content through the Apple TV will make its way back when "The Cloud" comes along.
