Does anyone else think that Wozniak is a little desperate for attention? I mean come on he seeks it every chance he can get.

I'm not entirely sure but to be honest, after the California Prius driver being found out as a fake and now the legal issues he will likely be faced with, I would venture to guess that Wozniak will shut the hell up about this if it is indeed ********.

Fact is Toyota is going to do everything they can to fix the issue but they're also going to go after with a heavy hand those who are attempting to profit from this terrible issue. I don't care if you're Steve Jobs, you have no right to make such claims if they're false when the issue truly plagues lord knows how many other owners.

I had an Old Isuzu Rodeo with a similar problem and a friend of mine who's into cars said that it was likely the computer.

So it can happen.

I've got a 2006 Highlander that accelerates pass the original cruising speed if I use the resume cruise of on the cruise control. I simply flip the cruise control switch to cancel and then reset the cruising speed.

I don't see this having anything to do with the stuck accelerator. Completely different issue. Not everyone uses cruise control. I've only used it for interstate/intercity driving. Nothing to make a big stink about, IMO.

If I keep pushing on the resume cruise, it will keep accelerating. Simple solution, stop pushing once the desired speed is attained. I think this is what has got Woz's hackles up.

That’s exactly how my 2004 4 runner works also if you hold it down. And my 2001 mustang also has a button beside the cruise that’s “Set Accl,” which if you press it it will obviously accelerate the vehicle. You’re supposed to let go of that button once you’ve reached your cruising speed. But I suppose you could be dumb enough to hold it down and accelerate to 90+ mph then let go like Wozniak is talking about.

Robert Scoble was on TWiT this week and he mentioned that Wozniak has refused to demonstrate the problem to reporters who could record it or Toyota.
