I've got a 2006 Highlander that accelerates pass the original cruising speed
if I use the
resume cruise of on the cruise control. I simply flip the cruise control switch to cancel and then reset the cruising speed.
I don't see this having anything to do with the stuck accelerator.
Completely different issue. Not everyone uses cruise control. I've only used it for interstate/intercity driving. Nothing to make a big stink about, IMO.
If I keep pushing on the resume cruise, it will keep accelerating. Simple solution, stop pushing once the desired speed is attained.
I think this is what has got Woz's hackles up.
