Does anyone else's FEDEX tracking info look like mine? :(

While many people have been getting their iPads only 2-3 days after shipping, mine has been sitting in Chinese customs for 3 days now... It's almost 2am PST, and somehow I doubt it will clear customs, fly to Alaska, clear US customs, fly to Oregon, and get on a truck to be delivered within the next 8.5 hours.

Fedex still says it's due to the shipper not providing proper customs paperwork... Apple says if they hadn't given proper paperwork I wouldn't have gotten a tracking number or a delivery date...

So I'm wondering, anyone else's iPad shipping status look like this?

Mine is identical, including times. It's past 10:30am here so the tracking page no longer displays delivery past that time. Same model iPad.

I had called apple and they had said that if there was as issue with customs, they would have known about it immediately.

Either way, I'm glad to know that it's in transit, although I know it will not get to me by the scheduled time. If you look up flight number FX 48 (Fedex freight from Shenzhen, China to Anchorage, Alaska), it shows that it takes 9 hours and 23 mins from runway to runway, and that it's scheduled to touch down in Alaska at 12:28 local time.

Looks like I'll get it on Wednesday like Apple said. At least it's on it's way...

Originally scheduled to deliver to INDY by noon 5/11/10 (today)....no way.

Yes, yes, and yes. I ordered the same model ipad. Ours MUST be in the same batch shipment. If you check again, it looks like it cleared customs in AK. Fingers crossed we'll get our ipads tomorrow.

I also had no luck with Apple or FedEx over the last few days. While the Apple reps were friendly enought, the FedEx people were downright condescending....even with the Apple rep on the line. I HATE trying to get shipments from overseas.

Thanks God i'm not the only one I ordered the iPad 64 3g+WiFi with the Camera connection cable i've received the tracking number for the iPad but the camera will be shipped later.

the story is i'm using entropay.com to pay for the iPad, its almost 2 days in clearance in progress.
today I've received an email from apple asking me to make sure my credit card is ok I thought they already got their money at least for iPad, so I cancelled the Camera Connection cable I don't need it now i can wait.

so i started searching about that it appears i'm not the only one.

Apparently Apple had a good grasp on things in terms of when it was going to be delivered, but Fedex has no friggin clue. Some reps said they didnt have enough planes, some reps said that Apple didnt supply customs forms... but I'm more inclined to believe Apple from now on, seeing as how they were the only ones able to give me an answer and were right about it.

And on top of that, after a manager at Apple Online Store Support told me they have my iPad scheduled to deliver by May 12th, they said that if it doesnt arrive by then, call the him at his direct line (gave me his direct phone # and email address), and that he would make sure it gets to me, and would send me an accessory or something, somewhere in the neighborhood of $50 as an apology.

Fedex is the one in charge of deliveries, and once Apple ships, it's up to Fedex to deliver it on time, so if it's late, Fedex is the only one to blame. Yet Apple was still willing to shell out $50 as an apology for a mistake Fedex could have made. I'm glad to see that someone in the tech support industry still cares about their customers.

So I don't have to worry mine says Estimated Delivery Date 17th May in Fedex shipment page, or should I because estimated delivery was 11th - 15th MAY

and how did apple shipped my iPad if they are having a problem with my payment method?
