When I download certain IOS apps from the app store, it downloads an app with an ff icon, then the icon disappears. What exactly is that about? TIA.

Could you give us an example of one or two of the apps you download where you see this mysterious icon?

The app is entitled Freeform and it became visible when loading DoorDash - then disappeared

OK, so your question is why does Freeform launch when you open DoorDash? I saw a brief search reference (without opening the link) that mentions Freeform helps some apps display content using picture-in-picture mode. I don't use DoorDash, so don't know if that's a feature. If no one else chimes in, you could try uninstalling it (unless you're using Freeform as a standalone app too), or possibly contact DoorDash support to ask about it.

No, it only comes up on an app install. I had it before with another app - same thing - it downloads and disappears/deinstalls. It's not listed as a seperate app - it's almost as if it's a helper app that uninstalls once the install is complete. By the way, I tried it on my iPad and it didn't download. I did a factory reset/restore on my phone last night and it no longer occurs when I installed an app. So I'm willing to bet it was a plist screwup on the phone - odd though - as if it was hidden

Thanks for answering.
