None on my new 20". The display is awesome!

Ive brought back my imac 2x now because of dead pixels the 3rd one still has one. The apple store either got a bad patch of them or imacs have issues

I actually returned 2 iMacs because i found little dots on the screen that looked like dead pixels.

When i went to the Apple store they told me it was probably something stuck in between the glass and the screen. I finally got a 20" that didn't have the dots but in my store most of teh computers did have little dots that looked like dead pixels

This is my first mac and its kind of really WHACK that apple is selling computers like this

In my shop in Antwerp they first take the mac out of the box and check it on dead pixels or problems..

Thats what they told me on the first time i returned it. Its so annoying. The girl told me this is the last one i can return. I think i'm just gonna ask for my money back and get it a month later when they hopefully have a better stock of them

The iMac I saw in an Apple Center yesterday had no dead pixels.

I told the manager that I look at the imac in the store and i wanted it exactly like that and i didn't give a **** about the apples policy on 1 dead pixel. I bought it and the amount of money i payed for it it better be damn perfect when i could build the same pc with less then half the price of the imac.

Yea, same here they told me they wouldn't return it anymore. Here's a suggestion, since what were dealing with is not actually a "dead pixel" its more of a piece of dust or something stuck in between the screen and the glass, they told me to come back in 2 weeks if i still had the problem and that in 2 weeks they would have the correct tools to open the iMac up and clean the surface.

This should hopefully get rid of the problem

You better watch the warrantyne date of yours isn;t it like 14 days? I'm gonna try running the pixelfixer widget and see if that fixes it and if not i'll just get my money back

Isn't it their obligation to clean the screen if I bought the computer like this? and I thought that the warranty was 90 days? They told me to come back in 2 weeks to get it cleaned but i literally only have one tinyy dot on the bottom left of the screen it really isn't that big a deal for me

That was actually my first thought when they said that there was glass in front of the LCD. "Wouldn't it be easy for dust to get between the glass and the screen?"
Seems like my worries was somewhat right then. I just hope it's not a common problem.

I actually have one dead pixel, but it is the hardest thing to find and its off to the side so I decided to just stick with something I know is decent instead of fighting just to get another imac with more dead pixels... Oh and I have a new 20".
