does anyone know how to disable tab previews?

I tried "defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeInternalDebugMenu 1" ,but the tab-preview option is not available in the debug menu.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.

i had a thread about this as well; annoying as hell. seems a simple 'on-off' option could be provided. anyway, will watch this space, in case someone has a workaround...

It is in the Debug menu, at least on Mojave. Look almost at the bottom under "Tab Features". Inside there you'll see "Show Tab Preview on Hover (requires restart)". Uncheck that and restart.

mojave, yes. monterey, no. can't imagine why apple doesn't want us to hide those previews in the present...
