This game is from a mac I had about 10 years ago. It is with this little man that looks like Indiana Jones, and there are different themes and levels, but He has to go through these mazes that can get more complex, and he is trying to run from these red hooded figures, like little grim reapers. He has all sorts of devises to stop these hood figures as well, the complex the level the better weapons that he has. Does this make sense? Does this game sound familiar? I'd love to find it again.:)

You have to remember the unique name or property of at least ONE thing in this game, because your description applies to a zillion games. You have to tell us a level name, a weapon name, a character name, a setting location name such as the name of a cave. At the very least you need to tell us something unique about the game itself, like "you could use a whip to wrap around a post to swing across a gap in a platform" or something like that.

It's Lode Runner. You run from red caped dudes that stab you if they reach you :D Good luck finding it, I tried to get it and never could. If you do find it please let me know as it would make some classes less boring :p

OMG!! I have to thank you guys so much!! because we used to have that game on a powermac at my dads work and then a few years ago they got rid of the mac and i remembered this really fun game that i used to play when i went with my dad to work on saturdays and i loved the game... I had forgotten the details about the game but when i googled lode runner i saw a screen shot of it and that is exactly what i remember playing!! even if it didnt help the op it sure helped me!!

I didn't think it was lode runner because that game came out in 1983, which is not even close to 10 years ago as he described. Loderunner came out 25 years ago. 10 years ago was 1998, which is 15 years older than he described. I guess either 10 years ago he was playing a game that was already 15 years old at the time, or his memory is playing tricks on him.

There's been a lot of Lode Runner's since the original. I remember playing it in color on my OS 7 Performa back in '95. The first time I played it though it was in the '80s and in monochrome. Total classic game though. You might got to http://www.macgamefiles.com and search for Lode Runner. You'll come across a couple of clones.

Speaking of classic games, anyone know of a way to get Lemmings on my new Mac? Not the DHTML version that one sucks.

I believe the last Mac version was released in '93. There's a link here, but I doubt it'll run on anything recent:

Lode Runner Colour

The thing I love about Macrumors - you can ask a question about anything, and you'll get good advice. Like, just last year I asked for advice about my love life, and... ...well ok, almost anything. ;)

Edit: Actually, it might be this one: Mad Monks Revenge

The game is Lode Runner 2 and I actually found a mac version of it on ebay. Its for os 7.5 and up. The guy had several of this game and selling for $3.00. I have a new imac, but if it doesn't happen to work with the Leopard than I can us it on my old mac. Can't wait to get it!:D
