Looks like an old Mac IIcx or IIci to me. Much older than a PowerMac. You're talking late 80s.

Might be a Quadra 700 though. Still slow as hell by modern standards.

Here you go.

The picture's a bit fuzzy to see exactly what's written on the front but it looks like an old IIci to me. I used to have one, it was my first Mac of my very own. :)

They were pre-Power Mac, introduced 1989/1990ish I think.

EDIT: I'd listen to that dynamicv if I was you, sensible chap that he is.

IIci. My first real Mac. I remember wondering back then whether I was a cretin for spending that much on a computer which would fall in value like a rock.

16 or 17 years later, no change...

Looks just like my very first 'workhorse' IIci

The visual difference between the IIcx and the IIci was the onboard video port.. which the computer you're asking about appears to have (with a Mac Video to VGA adapter plugged into it)

Click Here for more info on the IIci on LowEndMac.com

If this person is too lazy to type anything but "MAC computer - $50" then it doesn't seem like something I'd want to buy.

FYI, it is not a Power Mac.
