Does anyone not want the body of the MBA to change?

I like the black bezel and glass trackpad for the MacBook but it seems like it would add weight etc to the Air I love the current design and just want a hardware/software upgrade.

I'm seriously considering getting the rev C. and I hope to God they don't change it to a black bezel. Love the all-silver look. Though I love the black bezel look on the macbook, I'd like the air to remain as it is.

I dont really care about the black bezel. The bezel in the MB and MBP looks ok. The rumors of the carbon fiber being used has got me wondering if they are going to go to all black. Either update the all aluminum and make a new black with carbon fiber case, top and bottom lids so its color looks like the black MB of years ago, Or just have a black air and thats the difference in the MB MBP and Air. Apple could reduce the amount of curve on the top and bottom Square it up a bit make a little more room and still keep that trim look. Then maybe get rid of that goofy hatch and be able to put in firewire.


Just someone answer me this IS the Air pro or consumer??????????


I think PRO due to cost but NO firewire. SO whats the deal????

The 17 MBP should have been AIRized.
I know of people who wished apple would have went all AIR on the 17" pro. I'm not talking about just the No removeable battery, Im talking NO CD DVD Drive, really thin and shaped like a air, BUT still have FULL power and speed of what the current 17" is now. Basically an air on crack. Full processor speed and memory, SSD, ethernet, firewire 800, 1 usb, 34 express, same battery as the Current 17" for runtime, and finally NO CD DVD. They want the blueray but dont want a CD DVD drive at all if they cant get it, and most still would be happy with a Stand along Bluray like the air if it got them a really light powerhouse.

This I would buy 2 of one for me one for the wife.

I'd even find it acceptable if they thickened it up a bit and added an extra ounce or 3 if they could fit a gigE port on it (with an extra USB port?) and maybe a slightly larger battery. It might ruin the aesthetic a bit, but the Air has lost its sole claim in the "thinnest" computer competition, which is kind of subjective and a bit silly marketing drivel. Even if they don't I really do like the over all package as it is the most portable fully functional Mac.

I'm happy about the form factor as it is. In fact, it's one of the major reasons I wanted one (and got one). Aside from the portability for light to medium "lifting", my hands appreciate that using the keyboard feels like they're just laying flat on the table - no awkward (and sometimes painful) "front step" where I have to use a wrist rest sometimes to gain the correct ergonomic posture. And the keys feel great.

On a similar note, I'm really in love with my iMac aluminum keyboard for the same reasons. So much so that I just visited my Ergo Lab at work to see if they offered a similar keyboard for my Windoze box (I can't get a Mac at work ).

My only wish is more RAM and disk space although I'm fine with what I have since my MBA is not my main machine...

i love my Air just the way it is ... it's a use anywhere computer, 'fun' to use, capable of a lot more tasks then many people give it credit for, I'm referring to the revB 1.8.128ssd version... it's great.

The price is fine .... the Air is cutting edge, 'wow' technology, first (and still best) in it's class, not to be compared to a MB or MBP in my opinion.

I'd take one in 15" too!
