This SRS Wow is a feature included in Windows Media Player that I am missing in the extreme now that I have moved my speakers and music library over to my iMac.
It really does give the impression of a bigger, better stereo from my small but decent computer speakers/subwoofer, to the extent that I haven't even wanted to get a separate stereo system. I didn't realize how great it was until I started with the iMac. Music is too important for me to take this kind of downgrade, so I may have to move the speakers back to the PC, which is on the desk next to the iMac. I'd rather not run an extra computer just to have music, because I'm enjoying the Mac and am moving most of my computing to it, but this is a big issue...
I searched the topic on the forums here, and couldn't really find any info on user satisfaction. Searching the web in general, people seem to like it, but there are issues with support. In fact, the reviews are generally very negative in this regard. For example:
http://www.macupdate.com/reviews.php?id=22847
I know that dissatisfied users are probably much more vocal than satisfied customers, so these kind of comments may not accurately reflect reality.
I am also concerned with how this might work with the most recent iTunes update (which I haven't gotten yet).
So if anyone has any information to offer on this product, I'd really appreciate hearing it. Thank you!
