Aside from the odd time it's plugged in doing updates, I always use it on my lap. Sat back on the sofa with my feet up and always with a mouse.

Years ago, I seem to recall reading a silly report that suggested that playing a cello could lead to similar risky outcomes for men; fortunately, that was debunked.
All the time. I have a 2008 15" MBP that I use primarily in this manner. Across the room is my MacPro. But most of my web browsing is done in a comfortable chair with the MBP on my lap. Everybody else in the house uses them on their laps except for work issued laptops.
LOL. I've used laptops in my lap since 1997 or so. My 17 year old son is in his senior year and my 12 year old daughter is in 7th grade. Don't think I need to worry.It may cause male infertility:

SMCFanControl I usually jack it up to max fans whenever watching video or doing some intense CPU process.

There might have been a time, but not since I got an iPad. MBP strictly at the desk.
My MBP spends more time on my lap than anywhere else. When in use, that is.
Always used on lap. I have a 14 year old and a 19 year old so not sure how valid the fertility ‘study’ really is.

99% of the time, though not if a game is revving the fans. Think it will go to 100% when I get my firs M1 MBPro!
