I've had issues with auto correct and inserting words from the predictive text list since iPadOS 13 was released. I've given up submitting bug reports and just figure Apple won't fix it anytime soon. Maybe iPadOS 14 will correct it

Mine is fairly normal in most circumstances. It’s the Macrumors forum in particular where things get weird. Like just now I misspelled “forum,” went back a couple letters, typed it correctly and it autocorrected to “robum.”

I never noticed if it only happens on MacRumors or if it's all forums.. I'll make it a point to see if it's isolated to this forum or it happens everywhere

I have trouble backspacing on here. Like if I delete a word, it’ll jump and delete the space too. If I delete a letter it will randomly capitalize.

It started when they redesigned the forums.

Same here, along with other weirdness.

I have Auto-Correction disabled but had Predictive and Check Spelling enabled. Ever since iOS 13, that's become wonky so I ended up disabling it altogether.

Maybe I’ll try posting from my iPhone for awhile which is on 12.4.1 to see if I have any issues. If it doesn’t I’d have to say it has to be iPad OS because I don’t see how the forum could cause this after thinking about it

I have this problem too.. After reading the OP and your post I'm starting to think it's the forum causing the issues and not a bug in iOS/iPadOS.
I don’t use too many forums but I only have that issue on this site. And it never did that before they upgraded the site. Curious to see how your iOS 12 device acts.

I’m glad I’m not the only one, I thought I was going crazy :D

Thank god other people have this problem. I have problems with forum replies both on my iPad and iPhone, but more with iPad. I made a post about this here once but no one else had problems. I have a lot of weird spacing and typing issues for sure. Of course, as I type this, I’m not having any issues

I’ve notice it triggers when you’re typing & you hit return twice to space out your post.

(this line is where it starts acting weird)

It’s still happening and not only in this forum but elsewhere, like in mail sometimes, in notes etc.
I’m writing from the “future” with iPadOS 14.6
As you can see, I wrote “find” then changed to “download ”
And got the new word “finddownload” 🙄

That is the forum software causing that problem. Arn was made aware and informed us that there is nothing he can do about it There is third party software built into the forum software that causes problems.
