I’m planning ahead to a point where I may no longer have a PC-device (Mac or Windows...) and just have iOS devices. iCloud backup says that it includes ‘app data’. Can anyone confirm that this includes emails stored locally on the device?
I ask because I pay for a personal email service (as opposed to using gmail or similar cloud services) and whilst the server capacity is quite big it’s not infinite. So I need to download important emails to a local device periodically. Currently, they get permanently stored on my MacBook Pro, removing them from the server in the process. These emails are important by definition, so I would want to know I can recover them if a device gets lost or destroyed.
