Our team have used unity3d to build our bubble shooting game from the scratches. Currently, we are interested in buying the graphics asset from Chupamobile to use for our game. Check this
http://www.chupamobile.com/ui-graphic-asset/very-angry-birds-bubbles-game-gui-assets-10420

However, that graphics asset is similar to Angry Birds (but different). Anyone knows if we use that graphics asset for my bubble shooting games, is it legal?

Thanks so much for all responses!

Don't know for sure but they look almost the same as the legit Angry Birds images, which could be bad.

Do you know what chupa means in Spanish?

Why do they advertise that the assets are for Android?

It could be considered a "grey area" ... If the artwork is unique, that's one thing, however, if they determine that you are using artwork that look like someone else's work, they could see that you are trying to gain from their work.

IMO, I think Apple would reject something that has no need to be so much like a very popular image. In other words, you could have used any other image, yet you selected one that's much like a very popular one. The only reason for doing this is to gain from someone else work in making an image popular.

They won't have a problem with you using purchased graphics, however they will have a problem with using something that infringes on someones trademark. Or close to infringing on the trademark.

Our old apps icon ("GamePress") had a gaming controller that looked like an NES controller. It didn't have any of nintendo's branding, or a few other things to make it different. It even had a slightly different shape (It was being squished). But Apple ended up rejecting one of our updates after being live in the App Store for months.
In our case, the controller was much more original than the characters in the art pack. So I would have to guess that Apple will have a problem with it.

Try a few different other sites for graphics, like the unity asset shop, http://graphicriver.net/, https://www.gamedevmarket.net/.
There are a lot of sources online for graphics if you don't make them your self. We'll also be launching an asset shop soon in the future, but the content will be designed be for our own platform.
