In order to clean the dust out of the camera lens of the iPhone X, does Apple need to de-attach the front OLED screen in order to access the camera or can they remove the rear glass or just the camera lens alone?
Just wondering because last time I got my iPhone X camera cleaned out, I had a screen protector on my phone and they didn't have to remove it in order to deal with cleaning out the camera (last time I heard, an employee told me they need to remove screen protecter before opening up phone idk if that true though)

If the screen protector isn’t pristine they may ask you to remove it in order to inspect the screen for cracks or if the phone shows any physical damage in order to perform an inspection.
If they remove a screen protector it should be replaced at no charge.

Apple needs to remove the OLED display assembly to access the rear camera. The rear glass cannot be removed. It's glued on to the phone's midframe. The screen protector doesn't need to be removed.

They Shouldn’t have to remove your screen protector, as other members have had this cleaning of the lens process numerous times without having to do so. They started the process early in the year where they actually can clean the camera lens cover directly in store without issuing replacements anymore.
