Does apple maps in ios 10 auto change route when it detects a faster route than the current route?

Hi, I was wondering if apple maps in ios 10 auto change route when it detects a faster route than the current route just like in waze /ios 11?

What I know,it does,at least on my iPhone 6.

This happened to me once. I'm guessing that the threshold for time saved is higher than Waze, which seems to do it all the time.
