Does apple music show what I'm playing on the mac?

Just tried Music on the phone doesn't seem to show what's playing on the mac, unlike spotify.
I find it useful when I want to know what's playing and I don't want to reach out to the mac, since I have the phone on hand.
Or is there something that I'm missing?

This was one of the main reasons why I switched to Spotify in 2016, Spotify is so much better in handoff and sharing playlists/group listening.
