Does Apple Read This Forum?

It seems to me that it would be in their best interest to do so, but judging by the flurry of quality control issues, I don't think they do. It would be nice to have someone from Apple address some of their customers issues on this forum, but that seems to be unlikely. Does anyone know why we don't hear from Apple on this forum?

Hi Steve!

Apple does seem to be aware of rumor sites, and not just when they are trying to chase down leaks, so they either keep watch on the best-known sites or hear from people who keep watch.

I'd guess Apple is interested only in the news stories, with little or no interest in the forums, although perhaps with occasional exceptions. The forums may be a "free" way to measure the public pulse, but it's such a skewed sample that it's not likely to be an efficient or accurate way to do market research.
