Does Apple Ship to Package Fowarding Company Address ?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone have any idea about this ? If I Order the Macbook pro on the Apple website in the U.S and want it to be delivered to a Package forwarding Company in the U.S so that they can ship me out of the U.S does Apple Ship to a Package Forwarding Company If I do not disclose anything on my address and the address pretty much looks like a normal address as any other individual personal address ? Does Apple have any tool or mechanism to identity that this is a Package Forwarding Company address and hence it can cancel the shipment. But I was thinking in worst case scenario Apple would cancel the shipment and refund my money back ? right guys ? So If I wish I can take a chance ? Can I ? Or Should I ? or is it not worth the risk ? But mind you, I am outside the U.S so just in case if my money does not get refunded by Apple. I will not be able to catch hold of a physical person in Apple U.S and hence would be lost in Sea. Should I attempt it ?

Why not just have it shipped to your proper address. Adding a third party to the transaction might complicate the delivery and any recourse you may have if it does not get to you.

I am not in the U.S so I do not have my own Address in the U.S and in the entire Universe United States is the only place where the Macbook Pro is available at such a Dirt Cheap Price, and after that comes Japan. Hence want to take the Price advantage of buying from the U.S and I am not in the U.S so have to use a Package Forwarding Company who will in turn ship it to me...

Have you looked into what sort of import duties, tariffs and taxes you'll be hit with at your countries customs offices? You may not be saving much. Couldn't answer about Apple flagging a package forwarding company or not.

Also, looking at current exchange rates and Macbook Pro pricing. Applestore Japan is cheaper than Applestore US. I don't know what the Japanese tax rules are for online prices. Applestore US will also add sales tax to any order. That tax rate would be determined by the location of the parcel service you use. So, if you buy from Applestore US you will have to pay local sales tax, fees from parcel company and any import duties, tariffs or taxes. All while risking losing the package and your money by trusting some third party.

But you still may need to pay your countries import taxes and fees... And have you thought about repair guarantees?
Like in my country we can import goods free of import taxes and charges up to $40, including shipping. Above that sum we have to pay local VAT of the whole amount, which in my case is 25% plus service fees. That could end up still cheaper than buying in your own country... But then there’s this thing with guarantees! In the US it is 90 days (hope I’m right), in my country it is 5 years. I gladly pay more for my electronic devices knowing they can last much longer than most other places.

Warranty in US typically is 1 year. Apple devices comes with 1 year warranty when bought in US.

You can get in legal trouble doing this with both the US or your Own country. It's tax evasion. Apple doesn't ship too forwarding addresses anyway due to that reasoning.

Which Country did you get it delivered to ? How did you take care of Customs duty in your Country ?
