Does Apple TV 160GB use HDMI 1.4?

Title says it all, just working out what cable to buy!

So does that mean if I plug an HDMI 1.4 Cable into my AppleTV, my TV can take advantage of the internet access?

My TV has an ethernet connector but if I can use a HDMI cable between the AppleTV & TV and the TV can use the wireless internet from the AppleTV, that would be smart!

HDMI 1.4 was released on May 28, 2009
Apple tv was released on January 9, 2007 (original release)

I was just thinking if it did 1.4 I could plug it into the TV so the TV can use the wireless internet connection for its on-board web widget things.
