I know it tracks the calories you exercise. But does it track your daily calorie burn like Fitbit and Garmin watches do?

I am considering buying a watch that tracks my daily calories that I estimate are around 2,200 with exercise. My top choice right know is the Fitbit ionic. Or the apple watch if it tracks daily calorie burn .

Thanks,
Best,
Ale

it keeps a rough track of all daily 'movement', which I imagine is all the others do, too.

It does, but you have to do math. It counts active and resting separately.

Not true. In the activity app it shows Active and Total Calories. But it's true that Apple prefers to show you Active Calories rather than Total, which honestly I prefer. If I'm gonna burn 2k calories just breathing every day, I don't really care about that... I prefer seeing what I've actually done today.
