Does AppleTV upsale movie to 1080p? while the maximum resolution of AppleTV is 1280x720, what's the point of changing the setting to 1080i or 1080p??

Menus, pictures from your photo library, all are output at 1080p if that is your setting. It just can't do video at that density.

This answer gives the impression that movies aren't output at 1080 like the menus and pictures. In fact, everything is output at the selected resolution.
