I finally decided to try Bitmoji and I got a little concerned when it asked me to give it "Full Access" within my iPhone settings.

https://www.bitmoji.com/support/full-access-web.html

They say they aren't tracking anything but I thought I'd ask since I got a warning from Apple and I've never used a third party keyboard before.

Thanks!

I believe what they claim there in bold text is true. Third-party keyboards cannot access any information in the host app nor access selected or previously typed text. They can only supply new input to the host app while active. Full access means that the keyboard is allowed to communicate with its own app and has access to the app’s resources as well as network access.

They can of course still track what you are doing within the keyboard, such as what you are typing with that keyboard.

But technically they don't have a keyboard. They just import different Bitmoji (pictures) that I can paste within my text messages.

I just want to make sure they can't also access what I'm typing into my Apple Keyboard.

It is a keyboard, it just 'types' pictures. I have already explained what a keyboard can and cannot do. Full access has nothing to do with the app you are in; it cannot see which app you are using or what you are doing and cannot access the text you have previously typed.

Ok - so just to confirm, if I type something in my Apple Keyboard there's no way Bitmoji can get access to what I'm typing?

Thanks
