For those who have installed the Boot Camp 3.0 drivers does it resolve any of these problems with the 2009 Macbook:
  • Low volume output from speakers
  • Optical output red light always on
  • Keyboard backlight won't turn off
  • Microphone not working
  • Left speaker louder than right speaker

Other than the ability to access your Mac drive does Boot Camp 3.0 add anything that would make it worth the upgrade?

It unfortunately does not fix these problems. I was very disappointed Apple did not fix the Cirrus audio driver. I can't say I'm surprised though. Apple doesn't seem to care about the quality of the Boot Camp drivers.

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure every Mac has these issues thanks to the pathetically outdated drivers.

My brother's 2008 unibody MacBook doesn't have any of these problems. His MacBook works flawlessly with Windows and it's the reason I expected the 2009 MBP would work flawlessly as well.

Is Apple even aware of these problems?
