Does Carbon Copy Cloner work on Lion

I am looking to install a new Seagate Hybrid 750 GB HDD but clone the original 500GB, and pull it out and leave it on the side, but not sure if CCC will allow me to clone.


Also do you have to keep that black paper tape around the hard drive, or can you install a drive without it?

Successfully cloned a 300Gb vRaptor to a 2x150Gb RAID00 Volume on a 3ware9650se-12 using Carbon Copy Cloner.

Was running 10.7.2.

Now booting off the RAID0 Volume without problem.
