Title says it all.

Recently factory reset my iPhone 13 pro and I noticed that previous apple apps that I deleted (Garageband and a few others) haven't been reinstalled, while others like Stocks and Home have. Just wondering if this was the norm as I thought a factory reset makes iOS completely start from scratch.

It restores everything except for the apps that are available on the App Store, such as the iLife (GarageBand and iMovie) and iWork (Pages, Keynote, and Numbers). These are not part of the OS and can be downloaded at any time from the App Store.

Thanks! Just wanted to clarify, so a freshly factory reset iphone has some differences between it's out of the box counterpart?
