...on iOS.

Specifically, I'm trying to get it to identify music playing, yet whenever I ask it using any variant of the question, all I get continually is "Nothing is playing right now"/"Nothing is playing at the moment"?

I have blared music at full volume to the speaker on my iPhone X, and it still says the same thing regardless...?

I tried just playing a well known track loud and then pressing the listening button, where I see colour bars move up and down like it's listening, but after a few seconds it stops listening and says nothing whatsoever?!

Can you see if this works for you guys, if possible please.

(Is there a setting to get this to work? Or something else?)

Did you allow the Google app to have microphone access?
Yeah, it was already on – obviously it is recognising my voice. Just ignores any music for the apparent Shazam-like recognition.

Weird, as many said it was working and good.

How can this be working for people, but not me. It's not region restricted either from my understanding (I'm UK based)...?

Do you still have this problem? This is happening to me too. I have removed app, re-installed. All to no avail. It immediately says "nothing is playing" without even attempting to acquire data and search.
